Matthew 11:15 (KJV)

Throughout the scriptures God has communicated with man in all sorts of ways.  This communication sometimes was loud and direct and to the point; and other times more subtle like a “still small voice”.  Today, God more than ever wants to communicate with us if we will only listen.  Today, open your mind and heart and listen to the what Jesus Christ is trying to tell you.  Obey His voice and you will be blessed!

Matthew 11:15 states, "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Romans 8:35-39 (KJV)

Romans 8: 35-39 states, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

What a promise that our God, our Savior, our Redeemer has provided for us. How he loves us!

Proverbs 22:1 (KJV)

Proverbs 22:1 states, "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold."

This scripture reminds us that the things of this life that have true value can't be held in our hands. Also remember this week to be careful and diligent as you carry the name of Christ.

1 John 3: 18-21-KJV

1 John 3: 18-21 states, "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God."

God knows all about us. He knows our thoughts, deeds, actions. Most importantly, He knows the condition of our heart down to the very intent. In our walk with God, it is up to each individual to make sure to maintain that intimate relationship with Him, and to keep our heart tender before Him. There is a hymn that comes to mind:

When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well...
With my soul...

1 Chronicles 4:10-KJV

1 Chronicles 4:10 states, "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."

In our lives, we may be presented with tough choices, trials or blessings.  It is during any of these times that there is opportunity to learn more about God and how He is sovereign.  The prayer that Jabez prayed has real life application in that Jabez knew where his strength, guidance and blessings came from.  Therefore, in our lives it is important that we seek God and look to Him at every opportunity.  Of significance was Jabez’s desire for God to keep him from evil.  After all, God’s promises are true, and as Jabez prayed, God granted him that which he requested.

Remember to look to God in everything you do.
