Hope in Jesus Christ


As we move into the Easter season, I can't help but think about the reason we celebrate Easter and the hope that this brings us in Christ.  Without the death of Jesus Christ, we would have no hope - no hope of peace in this life, no hope of being victorious in difficult times or trials, no hope of a future beyond death in this life.  But with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can have hope in Him - hope that tomorrow may be better than today, hope that Jesus can bless our lives beyond what we could ask or think, hope that we will be rewarded with a home in Heaven when death takes our earthly body in this life.

As much as God loved us, we couldn't receive this salvation until Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected.  This hope of salvation was only available in His death and resurrection.  Let us not live with no hope when a better way is available!

I Corinthians 15:19 states, "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable."  Let us not be miserable!

In I Peter 1:3-4 we read, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you."

Let us have a lively hope and an inheritance in Heaven!
