John 15: 10-11 (KJV)

John 15:10-11 states: “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”

The promises contained in these words of our precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, give me great comfort and hope as I experience the expected and unexpected challenges of life.  It is important to remember who is the source of our joy.  Our joy does not come from our spouse, children, parents, grandchildren, grandparents, siblings, friends, or any other person.  Regardless of the actions, good or bad, of these people in our lives, the joy of Jesus Christ can and will remain in us and cause our joy to be full, if we keep our Lord’s commandments and abide in His love.  No one, but Jesus Christ can give us this joy and thankfully, no one can take it from us.

Bro. Chris Collier
