1 Chronicles 4:10-KJV

1 Chronicles 4:10 states, "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."

In our lives, we may be presented with tough choices, trials or blessings.  It is during any of these times that there is opportunity to learn more about God and how He is sovereign.  The prayer that Jabez prayed has real life application in that Jabez knew where his strength, guidance and blessings came from.  Therefore, in our lives it is important that we seek God and look to Him at every opportunity.  Of significance was Jabez’s desire for God to keep him from evil.  After all, God’s promises are true, and as Jabez prayed, God granted him that which he requested.

Remember to look to God in everything you do.
