Isaiah 55: 10-11 (KJV)

The prophet Isaiah declares a promise to us in the scriptures that the word of the Lord shall not return void.  Isaiah 55: 10-11 states, “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”  In the New Testament, the apostle Paul references this in similar fashion about sowing the seed and letting God give the increase.

The Lord has reassured me with this scripture this week that calls for us to be a mouth piece for him and to let the Lord do the rest. I sometimes find myself sometime worrying about the results of my efforts, when all I should be asking myself is the message going out.  You may never see the results of your efforts for the Lord, but the scripture says it will not return void.  I know God has a purpose for everything we do and say for Him. My prayer this week is that I continue to be a willing vessel for him and continue to seek out his purpose and plan he has for me.
