Mark 12:31 (KJV)

As our awesome Raleigh crowd is preparing for Bible School this year, my teacher heart gets so excited to have the chance to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our school-aged children! I am constantly humbled by the responsibility I have in showing holiness to our children. This is such an important work.

We must remember every child is created and cherished in the eyes of God. We all come with our own unique personalities and backgrounds and are influenced and taught by all different types of people. Sometimes the kids who need our most patient teaching are the ones who test our patience.

Mark 12:31 states, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Show them Jesus. Be the person who stays calm and smiles the next morning in greeting when something went wrong the day before. It may seem like nothing to you, but it can mean everything to them. Let’s make the five mornings of Bible School that we are with the children leave such an impression of the Father’s great love, that they remember it for the other 360 days.

Lord help us share your amazing life-changing news! Equip us with your spirit, may we step back and allow you to have full reign in the chapel next week. Unite our crowd in this common goal. May we be Jesus to every person we meet, big and small. Amen!
