Romans 8:14-17 (KJV)

I sometimes wonder if my kids have any idea how much they are on my mind. When we have a new decision to make or new situation develops in our lives, my first thought always is how it will affect my children.

It makes sense that I would think that way. After all, not only do I love them dearly, but they are also my legacy, my greatest blessing, and one of my most important works in this world.

Why would we think that God feels any differently about us? He knows that we are not perfect, just as we know our earthly family isn't perfect, but that doesn't change the way God loves us! God knows how to take care of us, and in His love for us, He is always looking out for our best interests. We can depend on Him, because He never stops being our Father.

Romans 8: 14-17 reads, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."
