Romans 8:26 (KJV)


Romans 8:26 states, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

There are things in this life that will try our mental, physical and spiritual health.  When we experience these bumps in the road, it is sometimes hard to articulate what we need during our prayer time.  Sometimes, we are not even sure what to pray for.  This scripture in Romans encourages me that during those times the Holy Spirit, in our hearts, helps to bring all our needs before an Almighty God.  It reminds me of a song:

Now Let us have a little talk with Jesus,
Let us tell him all about our troubles,
He will hear our faintest cry
And He will answer by and by.
Now when you feel a little prayer wheel turning
And you know a little fire is burning
You will find a little talk with Jesus makes it right.

Let us always remember to let the Spirit lead us in our prayer times.
